MOCAKIDS: Kat Zhang

Description

Join author Kat Zhang for a meet & greet at MOCA! Learn how Kat conducted research for her award-winning book, The Emperor’s Riddle, listen to an excerpt from the book, and ask Kat questions about her experiences as a writer. A book signing will follow the program. Best for children in grades 3 to 6.

About the Book Imaginative, adventurous eleven-year-old Mia Chen has never fit in at school, or in her own family. But when her beloved Aunt Lin goes missing during a family trip to China, she and her older brother must band together to solve a series of ancient clues and rescue their aunt--and possibly discover a legendary treasure.

About the Author Kat Zhang is the author of books for teens and children, including a widely-popular Young Adult trilogy and the Freeman Award honorable mention, The Emperor’s Riddle. Originally hailing from the South, she currently attends medical school in St. Louis, and spends as much time as possible traveling to places she's never been.
